Solar water heating systems

A solar water system or vaccuum tube consists of two layers of glass, in between the layers the air has been removed to form a vacuum. Because there is no air inside there is no way to transfer the heat to either side. Solar radiation is absorbed and transferred to a heat transfer liquid within the tube. The liquid will heat up and rise to the top. The hot water will rise to the top and be replaced by colder water. The hot water is collected in the top collection chamber and pumped through the system.
